Even if you’re not planning to be in 30A for the holidays, decorating your home with festive accessories not only makes it more inviting to guests, but also contributes to the magical atmosphere of our communities. We’ve highlighted some easy tips and must-have decorations from our talented design team, as well as luxury home trends to give you some inspiration for decorating your home this Christmas!
Stick to a Theme
When decorating your Christmas Tree and its surroundings, it is important to keep the big picture design in mind so that everything flows seamlessly throughout the room. Highlight your home’s gorgeous assets through designs that are either understatedly flashy or minimalist. Most 30A homes are very neutral and minimalist in nature, so going over the top with your decorations will lose some of the inherent character your home already possesses. Stick with the theme that you choose when selecting decorations and draw inspiration from talented designers.

Nature is Your Friend
Speaking of neutral, utilizing nature within your theme gives the home a festive atmosphere without being overbearing. Use evergreen chains or clippings that you can easily decorate in the same theme as your Christmas tree or leave more minimalistic to accent areas like the stairs, light fixtures, your mantle, or your table. Pinecones and pine needles offer excellent subtle touches to your decorations, with the added benefit of smelling wonderful too!

Take Advantage of the South
One of the greatest assets that we have in the south (particularly 30A) is our year-round gorgeous temperatures! It only makes sense then to take advantage of the sunshine by decorating outdoor spaces so that they can be enjoyed during your holiday festivities. Adding ribbons, more evergreen, a tasteful amount of lighting, wreaths, and bulbs to spruce up your patios and balconies will draw family and friends outside for the usual outdoor relaxation that we love.
